# Payment links

Create a fixed-price link in the dashboard and track the resulting checkout payments.

## Create and share a link

Create a payment link in the selected project environment’s dashboard. Set its title, amount in minor units, currency and provider as available. The hosted link is /pay/l/{plink_id}; customers start a checkout session from that link.

Link creation/management is currently a dashboard operation. There is no public POST /api/v1/payment-links endpoint. The browser link endpoints below read an active link and create customer sessions with its fixed server-configured amount.

## Track the order outcome

Payments carry payment_link metadata and normalized payment events. Track each payment independently; sharing a URL does not make a browser callback proof that a specific customer order is paid. Use a server-created checkout session when an individual order’s price and identity must be fixed in advance. Inactive links return RESOURCE_NOT_FOUND.
